We offer 4 versions of MRI safety educational programs. The first two, Introduction to MRI Safety and Basic MRI Safety Training Program To Prevent Accidents and Injuries, are certificate courses to document training. The other course, Advanced MRI Safety Training for MRI Healthcare Professionals, is available in two versions, one accredited for CME for physicians and the other accredited for ARRT CE credit for radiologic technologists and other professionals who can use ARRT credits.
Introduction to MRI Safety
- 28-minute long certificate course
- Useful for nonclinical personnel and/or used in conjunction with other training as an annual review or refresher course
Basic MRI Safety Training Program To Prevent Accidents and Injuries
- 50-minute long certificate course
- Includes the material in the Introduction to MRI Safety course as well as additional details for clinical staff and on issues related to patient management
- Appropriate for new hires, as well as clinical staff and non-clinical staff who need a deeper understanding of safety and patient management in the MRI environment
Advanced MRI Safety Training for MRI Healthcare Professionals: CE Version
- 90-minute, 1.5 Category A ARRT CE credit course approved by the American Society of Radiologic Technologists
- Credit certificate is available immediately after successful completion of the post-test
- Appropriate for radiologic technologists, as well as radiology administrators, registered radiology assistants, and radiology nurses who may be able to use ARRT Category A credits
Advanced MRI Safety Training for MRI Healthcare Professionals: CME Version
- 90-minute, 2.0 AMA PRA Category 1 CME Credits? accredited by Medical Education Resources
- Credit certificate is available immediately after successful completion of the post-test
- Appropriate for radiologists, as well as radiology administrators, registered radiology assistants, and radiology nurses who may be able to use Category 1 CME credits

- All of these courses are available on our site CMEMedEd.com (also accessible via CEMedEd.com). Institutions and departments can purchase discounted access via individual coupon codes that will permit each employee to access a course at no additional cost.
- This offers not only a discounted cost per course, but eliminates the need to process individual reimbursements to employees.
- Each institution is responsible for distributing and tracking coupon codes.
Intranet Use
- The 2 certificate programs and the Advanced MRI Safety CE course are available for distribution via an institution?s own Intranet/Learning Management System.
- The license cost for Intranet use depends on the course(s) selected and the number of users who will access the course.
- Each institution is responsible for their own documentation of completion of the certificate courses.
- In order to obtain CE credit for the Advanced MRI Safety Course, learners will need to complete the CE post-test on our site. A coupon or link will be provided to allow access to the post-test on our site.
- These courses are available only in the following formats:
- non-SCORM or SCORM compliant programs
- MP4 or WMV format videos
- Technical specs and IT implementation of the video files are the responsibility of the purchasing institution.
- The Intranet/LMS must be capable of hosting streaming video files (28, 50, or 90 minutes in length, depending on the course).
- Due to CME requirements, the CME accredited course is not available for Intranet implementation.
