| Program Summary: This two-part program addresses the safe use of contrast media in abdominal CT imaging and protocols for reducing radiation dose. In Part 1, Dr. Nelson discusses the challenges of imaging different organs, including the liver and kidneys, and explains how to obtain the best images with lower radiation exposures and contrast doses. In Part 2, Dr. Sahani discusses radiation dosing in more detail. He shares his protocols for imaging patients of different body habitus, including the obese.
